Information Clause for Participants of the 43rd Lemko Watra Festival held on 17–19 July 2026

The Organizer – Lemko Union in Gorlice (Polish: Zjednoczenie Łemków w Gorlicach) – informs that the event will be recorded using image and sound recording devices (photos and videos), which will be used for promotional, informational purposes as well as for the safety of participants and property.

Participation in the event and entering the festival area is considered by the Organizer as explicit consent to the free processing of your image as personal data.

Therefore, all participants are kindly asked to familiarize themselves with the following information clause regarding personal data processing.

In accordance with Article 13(1) and (2) of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR), we inform that:

  1. The Data Controller is the Lemko Union in Gorlice, located at ul. Jagiełły 2, 38-300 Gorlice, phone: +48 18 3532906, email: lemkounion@poczta.onet.pl, represented by the Chairman of the Union.
  2. Your personal data is processed based on: Article 6(1)(a), (c), and (f) GDPR, i.e., processing is necessary to fulfill obligations and exercise specific rights by the Controller in accordance with Article 11(1) of the Act of 20 March 2009 on the safety of mass events and based on your consent.
  3. Processing of your personal data takes place for promotional purposes by publishing in media, on social media profiles (e.g. Facebook, YouTube, Instagram), on the Controller’s website and websites of cooperating entities related to statutory objectives, as well as in publications, presentations, and promotional materials commissioned by the Controller, and to ensure protection of property and safety of persons on the event premises.
  4. Recipients of your personal data may be entities authorized under applicable laws, and entities to which the Controller has entrusted data processing (media partners, printing companies producing promotional and informational materials).
  5. Your personal data will be stored for the period necessary to achieve the purposes:

a) For promotional purposes until withdrawal of consent;

b) For security purposes of participants and property, at least 30 days from the date of recording, then will be permanently deleted.

  1. You have the right to access your data, obtain copies, and subject to law, the right to:

a) Withdraw consent, with the reservation that withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal;

b) Delete data;

c) Restrict data processing;

d) Object to processing;

e) Data portability.

These rights are exercised by submitting a written request to the Controller.

  1. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, i.e., the President of the Personal Data Protection Office in Warsaw, if you consider that your data processing violates GDPR.
  2. Your personal data will not be transferred to international organizations or third countries and will not be subject to automated processing including profiling.

DATA PROTECTION INFORMATION CLAUSE

According to Article 13(1) and (2) GDPR:

  2. Your personal data is processed based on:

– Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent),

– Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (necessary for performance of a contract),

– Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligation),

– Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest of Controller).

  1. Data may be disclosed only to authorized entities.
  2. Data will be stored as long as necessary for the purpose and legal obligations, including archiving and statistical duties, for the duration of contracts and then for legally required periods.
  3. You have rights to access, rectify, delete, restrict processing, object, data portability, and withdraw consent anytime without affecting previous lawful processing.
  4. You may lodge a complaint to the supervisory authority (President of the Personal Data Protection Office in Warsaw).
  5. Data will not be transferred abroad or subject to automated processing or profiling.
