Werchowyna

Werchowyna is a Polish music ensemble founded in 1991 at the initiative of students from Warsaw. It is one of the most iconic and distinguished groups on the Polish roots music scene. The band’s signature feature is its moving traditional polyphonic singing (a cappella) and the subtle use of acoustic instruments. The name of the group, referring to the Carpathian highlands, perfectly reflects the mood of their music – full of nostalgia, space, and deep emotion.
